​​Eligibility

 

This scholarship, valued from $100-$1000 at the discretion of the Awards Selection Committee, will be offered to students who:​

• fulfill the requirements of the B.C. Graduation Program.

• will be attending a Post-Secondary school in Canada or the US.

• have demonstrated:

  • aptitude for visual arts related studies, demonstrated through a submitted portfolio of (1) black & white submission, (1) color piece and (1) digital piece; and,

  • selfless commitment to participating in the community's visual arts related activities.

How applications are evaluated

1. Portfolios and statements of community involvement are assessed by a panel of professional visual arts teachers

2. Candidates are shortlisted.

3. Ten students are selected as conditional recipients.

How to apply

​​

• Applications for the 2025 scholarships will be due March 15, 2025.

• Applications will be submitted using the online application form

• Have a portfolio of (3) pieces ready to submit as a part of the online application

• Have pictures, videos or volunteer certificates for visual arts related activities ready to submit as part of the online application

• Ensure you meet all eligibility requirements.

Award Process

• VSA Foundation will distribute award funds by cheque at 9002 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC or by mail on request. Winners will be contacted to know when they can expect to receive their funding.
